Sandra Winn, a wife of 17 years and home educating mother of two children, is a freelance writer and independent writing contractor. She lives in Pensacola, FL...home to white sandy beaches, the crisp waters of the Gulf of Mexico, and the Blue Angels.
Sandy, as her loved ones and friends know, has a passion for family, life, nature, science, and history. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, ages 11 and 14, by walking, playing board and video games, going to the beach, camping, visiting friends, and everything else life has to offer.
Writing is also one of Sandra's passions and her talent for it caught the eye of Teresa Zwierzchowski, the Features Editor for the Pensacola News Journal (PNJ). In 2008, Sandy was asked by Zwierzchowski to write a family orientated piece; shortly thereafter her article, Seven Free Days of Family Fun, was published in the PNJ . Sandra's most recent endeavor was to start Moms Fighting Fat, a fun and interactive site where women can gather together for informative and often fun reading, participate in contests, read reviews given by Sandra on weight loss products and services she's tried, watch video blogs, find themselves as a featured blogger or interviewee, and watch her battle the bulge up close and personal.
